The Frog King is one of the most popular fairy tales. In the original by the Brothers Grimm, the princess makes an impetuous promise and the story takes its course.
However, in the version of the Niederrhein Theater, the prince outsmarts the evil witch. Since she no longer has a well guardian, she tries to take revenge on him and the princess.
But in the end, the prince is able to take his beloved, who is nearly heartbroken from sorrow, with him to his kingdom.
