Book presentation ‘nestwärme creates perspectives’

NESTWÄRME CREATES PERSPECTIVES
SPECIAL GUEST: INGRID ARTHUR

‘Believing in the impossible is often the first step to success. When everyone said it couldn't be done, we did it anyway - and that's the driving force behind Nestwärme.’

The authors and founders of Nestwärme, Petra Moske and Elisabeth Schuh, will present their book ‘Nestwärme schafft Perspektiven’ in the special ambience of the late Gothic pilgrimage church as part of the book premiere benefit event of ‘Kultur in der Wallfahrtskirche’ on 13 April 2025. In conversation with Father Albert and Tobias Marenberg, they talk about their important work and the Nestwärme association, calling for personal commitment and social action as well as personal responsibility.

The authors share their moving experiences and inspire people to become active themselves, take responsibility and make a positive change in society: How each individual can make a difference through solidarity and commitment.

As a special guest, Petra Moske has invited Nestwärme ambassador and singer Ingrid Arthur to provide the musical backdrop to the event. Ingrid Arthur is currently part of Tim Kamrad's team on ‘The voice Germany’ and inspires with her gospel and soul voice.

About the book:
An impressive case study at the beginning, followed by a touching personal recollection of how Nestwärme came to be founded - possibly also getting to know each other and deciding that something must be done. In the course of the book, the authors talk about their valuable work using around twenty case studies, in which those affected can also have their say (e.g. voice message). The concrete examples, which represent various aspects of Nestwärme's work, are interspersed with episodes from the authors' day-to-day work. The struggle with authorities, structures, regulations, annoying parents and their own tiredness is described. But also moments of gratitude and joy, because real help was possible and parents and children can laugh again. Moments of success and glamour are also briefly touched on, award ceremonies, celebrities, publicity, but this does not take up too much space, it becomes clear again and again that this is necessary to keep the whole thing going, but is not the actual basis for the work.

About nestwärme:
