Café Hansen
Bernkastel-Kues
The Café Hansen on the market square of Bernkastel-Kues spoils you with homemade products of finest quality. Besides pralines, chocolate and ice cream, you will find a wide range of cakes and specialities. The café is already run by the 3rd generation.
Since 1911, the historic Art Nouveau house in the marketplace of Bernkastel has been owned by the Hansen family. Initially, Hilarius Hansen acquired the house as a baker. His son Klaus Hansen and his wife Beatrix gradually transformed the business into a café-patisserie. Norbert Hansen and his wife Konstanze complemented the whole with their own confectionery. For the past 5 years, the 4th generation, Wencke Hansen, along with her father, has been in charge of the business. Cakes, chocolates, finest pastries, and pralines continue to be produced in the in-house patisserie.
